When you tell someone you will be there, be there. When you commit to a deadline, meet it. When you promise something small — a phone call, a favor, a ride — treat it with the same seriousness you would a signed contract.
Most people will not do this. Most people will over-promise and under-deliver, and they will justify it a hundred different ways. Do not become one of them.
The people you admire most in this life will be the ones whose word you never had to question. Be that kind of person. It will open more doors than talent, more doors than money, more doors than any credential you could ever earn.
Say less. Mean more. Deliver every time.
