Our Work
This website is our personal publication — the family story, the journal, and a record of what we have built. It is not a construction company, brokerage, design studio, technology provider, or travel agency. The businesses below each have their own website, and that is where their work is offered.
Building
Nicholas's construction work is done through Peters Custom Homes, Inc., a luxury custom home builder in Charlotte — homes commissioned by a specific family, on their land, to their plans. His story is told in Nicholas's biography.
Peters Signature Homes builds luxury spec homes — designed and finished before a buyer is chosen. It is a different kind of work from commissioned custom building, and the two should not be confused.
Technology in the home — audio, video, networking, and control — is the work of Peters Audio Video. We wrote about how that planning fits into a build in smart home installation in Charlotte.
Design
Miriam's interior design studio is Emerald & Oak Design. Her path to that work — and everything before it — is in Miriam's story.
Real Estate
Our real estate work runs through Peters & Associates, Inc., whose luxury site covers higher-end homes across the Carolinas. The Peters Team is the real estate team operating through Peters & Associates — the same brokerage, not a separate company.
Travel
Peters Signature is our personal travel journal, with contributions from others — places we have been and what we brought home from them. It does not book travel or offer planning services.
Messages
Questions about building, design, technology, or buying and selling a home belong with the business named above, through its own website. Personal and editorial notes about this site are read by Nicholas and Miriam.
Relationship Disclosure
The Peters Legacy is a personal publication about Nicholas and Miriam Peters, their family, experiences, and work. Businesses discussed here may share principals or collaborate, but each service is provided by the business identified on its own website and in its applicable agreement. Links to community guides, personal stories, or property websites do not make those publications separate service providers or parties to another company's agreement.
